Call For Paper

The 2nd edition of the "Junior Conference on Wireless and Optical Communications (JWOC2020)" organized by the LabEx DigiCosme and university Paris-Saclay and IP Paris will be on the 4th of December 2020.

Description

This conference is intended mainly for first and second university, PhD and Master students and third year students in engineering schools of Paris-Saclay. The aim is to provide these students with the opportunity to present their scientific work and their topics of research in a conference with prestigious guest speakers, from academia and industry and to develop their critical thinking skills.
The 2nd edition of JWOC will be held on the 4th of December 2020 at Institut Polytechnique de Paris (location to be determined). This event will be partly remote or not, depending on the COVID situation.
The expected outcomes for the conference are :
- Introducing research in Wireless and Optical Communications to students,
- Provide an opportunity for second-year PhD students to make a mid-term defence to a broader audience,
- Highlighting students’ very first scientific results, enhancing networking and debates between students, attendees and keynotes speakers.

Topics

The contributions of interest will be related to wireless and optical communications and networking, in addition to various topics like : signal processing, multimedia communications, IoT, cloud computing, and Artificial intelligence.

- Acceptance notification : November 20th 2020
- Conference : December 4th 2020

Submission Guidelines
The call for papers will be soon open !
Submissions consists of extended abstracts in English limited to a maximum of two pages. The authors of accepted submissions will be invited to prepare an oral presentation (between 20 and 30 minutes) of their research area and work. The submission templates are available in the aforementioned site.
All submissions will be reviewed by the scientific committee on the basis of relevance to the scope of the conference, originality, significance in the field and clarity.
Please do not hesitate to forward this message to all students of your teams and groups (within Paris-Saclay and IPP) working in the broad area of wireless and optical communications.
